Day Five Measurements for 'Muscle in a Month Programme'

Chest - 33.2"

Shoulders - 37.2"

Waist (navel) - 29"

Hips - 33.5"

Thigh (Gluteal Fold) - 22.2"

4" above Patella - 15"

Calf - 13"

Arm - 10"

So, again, my measurements are all over the place, but i believe many of my PT friends who are also Dax Moy's guinnea pigs are experiencing the same phenomenon.

Today was very hard, especially as my neck is still bad, so I wasn't able to do the windmill properly on the right hand side. My hamstrings are getting sorer as the day goes on (from yesterday), and we have another beast of a w/o already for tomorrow :0/

I could only do 3/4 press-ups (4 sets of 40 press-ups) as my arms were weak from the hanging leg raises and the flyes!! (I know, im a girl!!!):)

Everything else went well, altho I am VERY hungry, despite getting iller as the day goes on. I suspect food poisoning, which annoys me, as i already seem to have had a week of it, and i want to be able to complete this programme as I am very much enjoying the focus and accountability of it...

Day 6 and 7 will be done at the Moy's studio as some of us are completing his 'Kinetic chain Assessment' Module over the w.e.. Will be K-nackered by Monday..

Day 4

Day 4 - back on it..
Measurements:
Chest - 32.7"
Shoulders (measuring all the way round this time :-)) - 37.5"
Waist - 28.5"
Hips - 33"
Thigh (Gluteal Fold) - 22.2"
Above Patela - 14.6"
Calf - 13.1"
Arm - 9.7"
So, there is a slight difference already, although it would appear i have gained on my butt!! hahaha!! The one area a woman DOES NOT want to gain :-)
The biggest loss appears to be on my waist, which after 4 days is a bit of a shock.
It is really helping me to do the measurements every day, as it is keeping me motivated as im seeing changes on the tape, even if I am not seeing a change physically, or in the pics.. Please feel free to comment if you can see changes!!!!!
Today was a great w/o which i really enjoyed - 10kg biceps; 15kg triceps; 35kgs SDL (the most I have ever done)
The elimination diet is getting easier, although I am drinking more herbal tea than water so I need to up the ante on that.
I do struggle with all the choc and biscuits in the house (for my son), i realise this may lead to a barrage of comments about having sugar in the house... BUT.. what you going to do??
I am looking forward to the rest of the challenge, and have enjoyed this new focus, as it has come at just the right time for me..
The other guys on the challenge are doing exceptionally well aswell..
My feel the burn tomorrow tho... HOLY HAMSTRINGS!!!! :-)

Day 3 - Disaster strikes!!!

Day 3 Measurements:

Chest - 32.5"

Shoulders - 20"

Waist - 29.5"

Hips - 33"

Thigh - 22.2"

Above patella - 14.5"

Calf - 13.1"

Arm - 9.7"

So, last night at about 6pm, i started getting a pain in the right hand side of my neck.. I ignored it, but noticed that my movement was starting to get restricted.. The pain got progressively worse through the night, and I had a very bad night's sleep, and woke up this morning in agony, unable to move my head to the right.

I have been walking around most of the day with a hot water bottle stuck to my neck, in a bit of a grump to be honest! I have taken neurofen to dull the pain, and luckily was able to train the clients I had booked in, but sadly unable to teach my classes, or do the the assigned w/o today.

Im guessing it may have had something to do with the clean and presses yesterday, but as it came on so suddenly last night, I am really not sure how or why it happened.

My plan is to rest tonight, and carry on regardless with the training tomorrow.

My diet has continued to be fruit, veg, rice, beans, nuts, seeds, pulses, water and herbal tea..

Lets hope tomorrow brings a less painful day :-)

Day 2 MIM programme

Ok, so day 2 of the Muscle in a Month programme. I struggled with teaching my classes today as my hamstrings were very sore, and my upper chest is tender!! Youch!! Thanks Dax ;-)

I used a 20kg barbell for the clean and press, and 8kg dumbell for the presses, and i started with a 3kg dumbell for the raises, but had to (rather depressingly) downsize to a 2kg!!

I also used a 10kg barbell for biceps and did the dips of a bench.

Very much enjoyed todays w/o, but still missing my mocha. Otherwise all good in the Chinton hood :-)

Please bare in mind that my son is the photographer, and was a reluctant one this morning as i was disturbing his morning TV!!!

Waist 29.5"

Hips 33.5"

Thigh (Gluteal Fold) - 22" 4" above Patella - 14.2"

The cobra's killed me, BUT i love the reverse hypers..
I have to admit to craving for my daily mocha, and feeling a tad anxious for some reason..hmmmm.. not sure what that is about.. other than that i am ok
Also taugh LBT for 45mins..
